Production sites

High-tech machine platform

amd’s production sites are considered to be the most up-to-date in Europe for the manufacture of adult hygiene products.
From the outset, the company committed to a long-term vision to fulfil its customers’ expectations with any compromise.

amd invests heavily in the best equipment on a regular basis to attain its objectives:

  • Innovation to enhance users’ well-being and comfort
  • Manufacture of high-quality products
  • Development of a full, functional range of products
  • Minimum environmental impact of manufacturing and transport

In 2007, the first production site was set up at Rouvroy in the Pas de Calais Department. A strategic placement that optimises the integrated logistics platform.
Quality, reliability, reactivity. Within ten years, AMD had constructed a state-of-the-art machinery platform. At the Rouvroy plant, four machines in 2007 had grown to 11 production lines by 2017. This year, the factory will produce more than 500 million articles.

FOCUS ON QUALITY

Control of raw materials

Our suppliers are selected on the basis of highly rigorous criteria pertaining to quality, adherence of official standards, ethical commitment and participation in international planetary preservation programmes; International Food Standards (IFS)
All raw materials are tested before use in our laboratory in line with our Raw Materials Control protocol.

Control of finished products

In line with our overweening priority of high quality, finished products are also tested in the laboratory. Tests associated with ISO certification include absorption, strength and absorption rate tests.

The traceability of raw materials

(batch number before use in production) is also checked. Of course, finished product traceability is ensured by integrated quality and logistics systems compatible with the specific characteristics of the distribution of disposable medical devices.

Regulatory monitoring and certification

AMD has the highest levels of quality certification and its staff concentrate on this aspect because it guarantees customer satisfaction. We are also vigilant vis-à-vis future changes that might affect our company and its field of activity.

Quality certificates

amd has the highest-level, current “product” certificates

Governments are increasingly enacting legislation aimed at protecting the environment, and customers are requiring their suppliers to incorporate best practices and demonstrate compliance with environmental requirements. The publication of the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems (EMS) has proved to be very successful, as it is now implemented in more than 159 countries and has provided organizations with a powerful management tool to improve their environmental performance.” Source : www.iso.org
